The D Project, Hedge
Hedge is supported by Arts Council England for its 2022 tour across the north.
Created by The D Project Dance Company and produced by Lissie Connor, this production is for children aged 4+ and their families that combines the magic of dance with beautiful costumes, innovative props and puppetry to create an imaginative and atmospheric performance space for them to explore and enjoy.
Hedge welcomes children into a familiar world that is ever changing, exploring the story of a hedgehog waking up from hibernation and learning to be brave in the face of uncertainty.

The D Project, Sleep
Sleep is a new multimedia dance theatre production for 11+ and families, exploring the effects of technology on sleep. Supported by Arts Council England, Dance City and produced by Lissie Connor, Sleep is currently in a stage of rehearsal and development.
This piece resonate with all ages and intends to stimulate discussion to change behaviour and encourage more positive use of technology to enhance our wellbeing.
Pelican Theatre, Blue Mind
A meditative and mesmerising performance, created by Pelican Theatre, supported by Arts Council England and produced by Lissie Connor, Blue Mind explores the concept of water as an antidote to the anxious, over-stimulated state that defines modern life.
Part performance, part installation, Blue Mind is a calming and refreshing multi-sensory experience, which shares the positive effects of water on our health, wellness, creativity, and connection.
Water has the power to induce a mildly meditative state, proven to have neurological benefits including reduced stress and anxiety. Blue Mind allows the audience to be part of this as they move around the space, creating a relaxing, mindful experience.

People Dancing, Live Well and Dance with Parkinson’s
Live Well & Dance with Parkinson’s is an ambitious, exciting, bold and creative programme of dance and community action for people living with Parkinson’s, loved ones, carers, and friends.
In an exciting collaboration between People Dancing and Principal Creative Partner, English National Ballet the programme brings together communities of people living with Parkinson’s to experience the joy of dancing; to be creative and curious; and to socialise and meet new people.
Lissie Connor works with People Dancing on this project as Area Creative Coordinator for the North East to support and oversee the development of a programme of dance and opportunities for people with Parkinson’s.
Dance Management Lectures
Dance City’s Training Academy offers formal, professional, dance training at all levels starting from children aged 10 to postgraduate level. They run these in partnership with the University of Sunderland and The Department for Education.
Lissie Connor is part of a large cohort of freelance professionals who deliver guest lectures to support the BA course in their dance management modules.
